The Reiki Experience

Take a deep breath.

Entering the studio, you sense the calm, welcoming energy of the Reiki space. The aroma of therapeutic essential oils surround you. Soothing music plays in the background. This is time for you.

Join me for a cup of tea.

We will begin with a warm cup of tea and a brief discussion about Reiki. I will explain what it is and what to expect. At your first session, I will explain all of the hand positions used during the treatment. The touch positions do not involve the front of the throat, the breast area, or anywhere near the genitals. If you are uncomfortable with touch elsewhere on the body, adjustments can be made to the process. I will happily answer any questions you may have. We are on this journey together and I am here to help you every step of the way. I’ll ask you to share what you hope to achieve through Reiki. This is an atmosphere of acceptance, warmth, and compassion where confidentiality is respected. Reiki can assist with an infinite number of goals, including:

The human body is capable of much more than we often realize and Reiki will help you to tap into  your own inherent abilities as you move closer to your goal. The tea portion of the session generally lasts about 15 minutes.

Relax and rejuvenate on the Reiki table.

Following the tea, you will lie fully clothed on the Reiki table, which is the same as a massage table. Please wear comfortable clothing that is not tight-fitting. I’ll ask you to remove eyeglasses and shoes prior to a table session. Sheets and blankets are provided for your comfort. With your permission, I will gently place my hands on your body. Reiki is a gentle touch practice which does not involve muscle manipulation. The practice balances the body’s energy field and the energy centers. This balance puts your body in its optimal state to promote the body’s own healing. It often inspires personal transformation, encouraging you to be your highest self. This is your time. Enjoy Reiki. Feel Better.
